Tekton did great work. Almost nobody could find them.

Mike McComb has been a client since December 2022. Here is what changed, in his words.

A covered Tekton deck at dusk, warm lighting under a timber roof, looking out over the Colorado Front Range.
The short version

Before December 2022

Since

No Google Business Profile

Managed and kept current

No social media presence

Project work, posted

Very difficult to find

A solid online presence

Word of mouth only

Cold, non-referral traffic

Both columns in Mike McComb's words.

The problem

Mike McComb builds decks and outdoor spaces across the Front Range, and he builds them well. In 2022, that was almost impossible to tell from the outside.

"Before Brand Traction, Tekton had little online presence beyond its website. No Google Business Profile. No social media presence. It was very difficult to find Tekton online. We operated strictly on word-of-mouth referrals, the 'king' of construction leads."
Mike McComb, Tekton Outdoor Living

Word of mouth is a good problem to have. It is also a ceiling. Every job comes from someone who already knows you, which means growth depends on a network that only expands so fast. And when a referral looks you up before calling, what they find has to hold up.

What they wanted
"We wanted another pipeline for legitimate construction leads tailored to our industry expertise."
Mike McComb

Not more noise. Another way in, for people who were already looking for exactly what Tekton does.

The work

This is where most agencies pitch a campaign. Tekton did not need a campaign. It needed someone to take the online side of the business off Mike's desk and keep it there.

That has meant, every month since December 2022:

The website

Rebuilt, and kept current since. Not just launched.

Search

So the site turns up for what people actually type.

Google Business Profile

Set up and managed. There wasn't one before.

Social

Tekton's own project photos and video, turned into content worth stopping for.

A finished Tekton composite deck in Colorado.
The interior of a Tekton covered patio.
A Tekton pergola and patio cover.

Tekton's own photography. Turning it into something people stop for is part of the monthly work.

Mike described the scope himself, which is a better description than any sales page:

"Ben has worked hard to revamp our website and leverage it on search engine platforms. He manages and keeps our Google Business Profile updated and relevant. He also uses his creative skills to highlight our project media on social platforms in an engaging and captivating way."
Mike McComb
What changed

Mike's word for the outcome is one I would not have chosen, and it is better than anything I would have.

"We believe his hard work and dedication to excellence have legitimized Tekton's brand, influencing potential customers to choose us over all other contractors in our industry."
Mike McComb, Tekton Outdoor Living

Legitimized. Not "generated leads." A brand that looks like what it is, so the choice gets easier for the person making it.

The pipeline showed up too:

"Over the past few years working with Brand Traction we have seen an increase in cold, non-referral, online traffic. A number of these leads became actual paying customers and a couple turned into six-figure projects."
Mike McComb

That is Tekton's result, reported by Tekton. We do not promise it, and nobody honest could. What we can say is what the work was, how long it ran, and what the client says came of it.

The part nobody expects
"ChatGPT even recommended us as one of the top deck builders in our area."
Mike McComb, Tekton Outdoor Living

More and more people ask an AI before they ask a search engine. Almost no small business knows whether they show up in those answers, which means there is still room to be one of the few who do.

Tekton has been one of them since before most people were asking the question.

Why it took years and not weeks

Here is the part that matters most, and it is the part a three-month campaign cannot give you.

"The construction marketing industry is saturated with people familiar with all the tools. They all make grandiose promises, but after several years of proof, we've seen firsthand that Ben works very hard to deliver on those promises and will actually help your brand build online traction."
Mike McComb, Tekton Outdoor Living, client since December 2022

After several years of proof.

Anyone can promise. Nobody can fake four years of a client still being here. Tekton is not a project we finished and photographed. It is a relationship that has run since December 2022, where the site gets better, the profile stays current, and the work keeps going out.

That is the whole idea behind an ongoing engagement, and Tekton is the reason we believe in it.

Your work deserves to be easy to find.
